Objectives
  • To fight for economic, social, cultural and political rights of peasantry.
  • To concretise for the development of unified movements by establishing the close relationship with the secular, democratic and progressive peoples’ political parties, various movements and with all organisations raising voices for the betterment of peasants.
  • To extend support against suppression and exploitation that perpetrates peasants’ in any corner of the world and to express and display solidarity and thereby support such movements.
  • To facilitate the process in the achievement and protection of democracy and human rights in the country.
  • To raise collective voices against the policies formulated by the multinational companies (MNCs) and international financial institutions (IFIs) having disastrous impact on the rights of peasants.
  • To support the various struggles initiated by the toiling masses including youth, women, and indigenous people of different communities for social justice and livelihood.
  • To hold meetings, workshops, seminars, rallies and demonstrations, etc. with a view to achieve the set aims and objectives.
  • To gather and disseminate information, conduct research, documentation and training, and bring out publications for the enhancement of rights of the peasants.
  • To promote a policy through advocacy and lobbying to ensure and activate the various actions creating an independent voice for peasantry.
  • To demand for a comprehensive agrarian reforms ensuring peasants access to productive resources, sustainable agriculture and protection of peasants' human rights.
  • To protect agro-ecology and prevent patenting on living organism and bio piracy.
  • To ensure human rights and indigenous rights of the people in all its manifestations and implications.
  • To ensure ‘Gender Justice ‘in all spheres of activities and decision making process.
  • To prevent Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) that adversely affects the basic means of livelihood of the peasants.
  • To struggle against all sort of exploitation, suppression and torture meted out against the Nepali peasantry by creating awareness among the peasants.
  • To organize campaign for achieving food sovereignty and genuine food security.
  • To fight for tenancy rights, profitable price of agriculture products, protection of local market, stop dumping and protection of bio-diversity promoting local ownership.
